Russia strikes Kyiv in daylight after hitting Ukrainian capital with a more common nighttime barrage KYIV, Ukraine (AP) — Explosions rattled Kyiv during daylight Monday as Russian ballistic missiles took aim at the Ukrainian capital, hours after a more common nighttime barrage of the city by drones and cruise missiles.Debris from missiles intercepted by Ukrainian air defenses fell in Kyiv’s central and northern districts during the morning, landing in the middle of traffic on a city road and also starting a fire on a building’s roof, the Kyiv military administration said. Two 2-years-olds among 47 shot across Chicago over holiday weekend CHICAGO — At least 47 people were shot across Chicago over the holiday weekend — including three teenagers and two toddlers.Of the 47 shootings, nine victims died from their injures.According to police, two 2-year-old children were shot in separate incidents on Saturday evening.One of the shootings happened in the 7900 block of South Hermitage just before 11 p.m. and another occurred in the 1500 block of West Jonquil Terrace around 6 p.m. Saturday. Both incidents involved the children accidentally discharging a firearm they were playing with.One victim was struck in the forearm and the other was struck in the hand. Man pistol-whipped during violent taco truck robbery in Willowbrook area: Video Police are searching for two suspects who robbed a taco truck, leaving one employee injured, in the Green Meadows neighborhood of Los Angeles near Wilowbrook late Sunday night. Video shows the taco truck was parked near the intersection of 103rd Street and South Avalon Boulevard when the two suspects approached at around 11:45 p.m.A man in a blue hoodie, holding what appears to be a gun, is seen grabbing an employee and pushing him against the van while apparently holding a gun to his neck.At one point the suspect punched the employee and continued to hold on to him while reaching into the taco truck and pulling out cash. The suspects may have also taken the workers' cell phones and wallets, according to stringer reports. Police are searching for the suspects who got away in what was described as a newer-model white Honda Accord.
